Where on the one hand, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced to reduce the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 and diesel by Rs 6 per liter yesterday i.e. on May 21. At the same time, after the reduction in this tax, now the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 9.5 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 7 per liter.

Now the common man suffering from this rising inflation is also expected to get some relief from this decision of the government. Now today for Sunday, the government oil companies have also released new rates of petrol and diesel.

After this changed rate, petrol is getting Rs 96.72 per liter and diesel Rs 89.62 per liter in Delhi on Sunday. However, before this, state-owned oil companies had increased the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 10.20 per liter in March-April by money. But now according to the new rate, once the prices have reached the level of February. With this, crude oil prices remain above $110 per barrel. Brent crude oil is trading above $112 per barrel on Sunday.

Subsidy on domestic LPG cylinder as well

It is worth noting that along with this, the government also announced a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder on domestic LPG cylinders. This subsidy will be given on 12 gas cylinders in a year to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. In such a situation, after getting the subsidy, the effective price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in the national capital will come down to Rs 803. At present, an LPG cylinder is available in Delhi for Rs 1,003. This subsidy will be sent to the beneficiaries in their bank accounts so that the effective price of the cylinder will be Rs 200 less than the normal cylinder.

Prices change daily at 6 am

It is worth noting that now the prices of petrol and diesel are changed every day at 6 am. Their new rates are applicable from 6 am onwards. Explain that after adding excise duty, dealer commission and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price now almost doubles.

On the basis of these parameters, now oil companies do the work of fixing petrol rate and diesel rate daily. Whereas the dealers-people running petrol pumps sell petrol-diesel at retail prices after adding taxes and their own margins accrued at the consumers end. All this cost is also added to the petrol rate and diesel rate.

Price of CNG increased again!

According to the big news of the morning, today Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi by Rs 2 to Rs 75.61/kg. With this, today the price of CNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad will be Rs 78.17 per kg, while in Gurugram it will be priced at Rs 83.94 per kg.

It is worth noting that in the last 6 days, the price of CNG has increased for the second time. Even before this, on May 15, the price of CNG in Delhi was increased by Rs 2 per kg. Be aware that there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country for more than a month.

In the same sequence, on Saturday, petrol in the country’s capital Delhi was sold at Rs 105.41 per liter, while diesel was sold at Rs 96.67 per liter. In such a situation, if we talk about Noida, here today i.e. on Saturday, one liter of petrol is sold for Rs 105.47 and diesel for Rs 97.03 per liter.

Let us also inform that when natural gas is ‘compressed’, then it becomes CNG, which is used as a fuel in many vehicles. This Logic has proved to be a good alternative to fuel.
